Project Update: Thursday, March 2, 2017

This week has included work locating existing utilities as well as removing the existing bridge deck. Crane assembly began today on the north side of Chestnut Avenue bridge. Expect a high increase in the noise and vibration levels beginning Friday and continuing into next week, as the while the contractor installs the temporary soil retention system. Similar to last year, these sheet piles will enable to contractor to expose the existing abutment footing and install the proposed drill shafts for the new bridge.  The contractor will be monitoring the noise and vibration levels to assure that they stay within the established standards.

Please continue to be cautious while traveling through the work zone and we appreciate your patience!
